toolqoe — small tools that show their sources

toolqoe is a set of small, fast tools that do one thing each and
show their sources. No sign-up, and nothing is uploaded unless a tool says so.

Tools with an English interface

These have been fully translated, including number formatting: a decimal point is a decimal
point and a comma separates thousands.

  • Calculator — Scientific calculator: trigonometry, logarithms, factorial, degrees or radians. Decimal point and thousands comma, as English expects.
  • Percentage calculator — Percentage of a number, what percent A is of B, percentage change, increase and decrease.
  • Stopwatch — Lap times, keyboard shortcuts, keeps running when the tab is in the background.
  • What time is it — Server-synchronised clock with an analogue dial, seconds, and world cities.
  • Age calculator — Exact age in years, months and days — or the difference between any two dates.
  • Merge PDF — Merge PDF files in your browser. Files are never uploaded. Reorder before merging.
  • Fancy text and nicknames — Unicode text styles, decorative templates and a palette of 111 symbols.
  • Qibla direction — Qibla angle for any location, with a live compass on phones.

Everything else — Turkish interface

The rest of the collection is still in Turkish. Many of these are tied to Turkish institutions by
design: the exchange rate comes from the central bank, prayer times from the Presidency of Religious
Affairs, earthquakes from AFAD, land parcels from the cadastre. Those will stay Turkish, because the
data itself is Turkish. The general-purpose ones are being translated a few at a time.

How these tools work

  • Every number has a source. Where a tool reports an official figure, the
    bulletin date and the institution are printed next to it.
  • Nothing is invented. If a source is unavailable, the tool says so instead of
    showing a stale or estimated number.
  • Files stay on your device. The PDF and image tools run in your browser.
