Short version: there are no accounts, and most tools run entirely in your browser. The site shows Google ads, and Google may use cookies for them. Everything else is below.
What stays in your browser
Calculators, converters, the PDF, image, audio and video tools, and the camera and microphone tests work on your own device. The files and numbers you give them are not uploaded. The camera and microphone are only used if your browser asks you and you say yes. A few tools remember your last inputs in your browser’s local storage so they are still there next time. That data stays on your device, and clearing your site data deletes it.
What reaches our server
Some tools need data that has to be looked up, so they send your query to our server. Examples are domain and DNS lookups, “what is my IP”, weather, earthquakes, prayer times and exchange rates. The server fetches the answer from a public source and sends it back to you. Each tool names its source on its own page. Lookup results can be cached on the server to make later requests faster and to avoid overloading those sources. We keep no record of who asked for what.
Like almost every web server, ours writes technical access logs: IP address, time, page requested and browser type. These logs are used to keep the site running and to deal with abuse. They are not sold or shared for marketing.
Cookies
- toolqoe_dil remembers whether you prefer English or Turkish, so the home page only redirects you once. It expires after 180 days.
- Google AdSense cookies. Google and its partners may use these to show ads and measure them, and depending on your settings and region the ads may be personalised.
Advertising
Ads are served by Google AdSense. How Google uses information from sites that show its ads is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, and you can opt out of some third-party vendors at aboutads.info.
Embedded videos
Some pages show a video from our YouTube channel. Until you press play, the page only loads a thumbnail image from YouTube’s image server. When you press play, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com, and from that point Google’s privacy policy applies to it.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The tools will still work, but the site will forget your language choice. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete data about you. Because there are no accounts, the only data we hold about you is in the server logs described above.
